A jumps handicapper back for the race it won last year, a few pounds higher, wins 18% less often than its Betfair price says: 0.82, under par in 7 of the last 8 years. The same horse, same rise in the weights, running anywhere else, is priced fine. On the Flat and in the big races, last year's winner is priced right. The market charges for the memory.
